How to start selling items on the Spot It Marketplace?

• Register your account on Spot It. If registering using an email and password then we will send you an email with a link to verify your account.
• Go to Your Account > Address and set your billing and shipping addresses.
• Go to Your Account > Facilities and Add Facility.
• Go to Your Account > Facilities > Click on [Your Facility] title and Add Item.

How do fees work?

• Creating a store is FREE.
• Listing and selling items with payment type of cash is FREE.
• Store and item view statistics are FREE.
• Only pay fees when accepting credit cards using our secure payment processing.

  • The fees are deducted during transaction processing.
  • 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee (includes shipping and tax) + 4% transaction fee (excludes shipping and tax) + $0.15 item fee per unique item sold.
  • Multiple purchases of the same item in the same transaction will only have a $0.15 item fee for that item.

How to accept credit cards?

• Go to Your Account > Stripe Account and Connect with Stripe.
• Create a Stripe account if you don't already have one and then Connect.
• When adding or editing an item you will now be able to select "Credit Card" as the payment type.

How do I get paid?

• If you are accepting credit cards then go to your Stripe Balances and choose how to pay out to your linked bank account.
• You can choose to accept cash for your items and negotiate with the buyers on how and where to make the exchange.

How to publish items to Google Shopping?

• While adding or editing your item, select "Credit Card" as the payment type.
• Check the "Add to Google Shopping" checkbox.
• Follow onscreen instructions to fill out the required fields and Save Item.
• You can check on the publishing status by viewing your store items and clicking on the "Google Shopping" status link.
• Wait up to 3 business days for the review to be completed.

How to configure store to be private?

• While getting your store setup you can configure it to be not visible to the public until it is ready for prime time.
  Go to Your Account > Facilities > [Your Facility] > Configure
• Turn on Private switch and Save Configuration.

What can be sold on the marketplace?

• New, used, handmade items, goods and services.

What can't be sold on the marketplace?

• Prohibited items
• Activity that does not follow Spot It policy could result in a range of actions including: administratively removing store, all its items, and indefinite account suspension. All fees paid or payable in relation to items on which we take any action will not be refunded or otherwise credited to the account.

How to enable discount shipping, automate shipping cost generation and collection at checkout?

• Discount shipping is only available if the item payment type is "Credit Card".
• When adding or editing an item you will need to select "Credit Card" as the payment type and then select "Shipping" as the delivery type.
• Fill out the item dimensions, choose the carrier you would like to use, and select the shipping label calculation method.

How to enable list and order submissions for your store?

• Enter email address in "List submission destination email" and Save Configuration.
